Our Regional Procurement Advisors are available to provide face-to-face support and assistance to CPC members free of charge.
Joanna has eight years experience in public sector procurement, previously working as a Procurement Consultant, supporting schools, academies and colleges in tendering a wide range of goods and services, specialising in facilities management tendering. More recently Joanna held the position of National Procurement Advisor for the Association of Colleges providing support and guidance to the FE sector on a range of procurement activities such as the impact of EU procurement regulations, promotion of procurement collaboration, provision of a procurement helpdesk and development of procurement website (FELP).
Karen has joined us from the private sector, has 20 years of procurement experience and is MCIPS qualified. She has extensive experience of procuring goods and services across a broad range of categories such as travel and events, vehicles and ancillary equipment, IT software, network infrastructure, training and consultancy, energy. She also has experience of compliance with EU environmental legislation and its impact on businesses, which is good grounding for gaining deeper knowledge of EU procurement legislation and the compliance obligations impacting the FE sector.
Linda joined the CPC in August 2014 and is MCIPS qualified. Linda worked as Procurement Officer for Cleveland Fire & Rescue Service for over 5 years and prior at Middlesbrough College for 6 years. Her role as Regional Procurement Advisor for the North & North East provides face to face advice, guidance, support & training to members on all aspects of Procurement.

In addition to individual visits, the advisors are available for presentations to groups of College staff / School and Academy Business Manager groups. They can also provide remote support and assistance covering all of the above if this is more convenient for you.
