National Lockdown Update - CPC remain open for business - read more
This framework is for the supply of energy for educational establishments and covers energy for schools, academies, colleges and universities. It has been designed for the education sector and provides institutions with electricity and gas. It offers a bespoke and fully compliant route to market for all of your power needs.
The Utilities Supplies framework offers proactive market monitoring and guidance on market timing to achieve the best rates. Competitive sourcing takes place across a range of suppliers including: Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), Orsted, Npower and Haven Power, plus a range of different contract options are available to suit members' varying needs, including Fully Fixed, Energy Only, Flexible and Basket contracts.
We are creating a ‘basket’ purchasing opportunity which is a way of pooling the bulk buying power of a group of buying organisations to get more competitive prices. We’d expect all institutions to make savings by joining the basket with savings for smaller energy users expected to be particularly significant. We are currently developing an April start dated ‘basket’. Should you wish to participate please express your interest via the Energy Help Desk as early as possible. The more members that use the ‘basket’ and the more time there is to track the markets, the greater the opportunity to achieve lower energy rates. We can accommodate contract dates that are slightly out of alignment with October.
The appointed provider Dukefield Energy Limited (previously trading as UPG), will not only undertake Utilities contracting (Gas and Electricity supplies) on behalf of CPC members but they’re also available to offer advice and support.

Dukefield Energy Limited will tangibly demonstrate and benchmark value on a like for like basis against equivalent current market conditions. There is no obligation for members to accept any proposals from Dukefield Energy Limited , there will be no pressure to proceed and all quotations are free.
It was awarded on 22nd October 2018 and runs to 21st October 2021 with a possible extension to 21st October 2022.
