The framework will cover the Supply, Installation, Management, maintenance and disposal of Data Centre Equipment & Data Cenre Infrastructure plus data centre design and Consultancy. Equipment and/or Infrastructure may be required to existing or brand-new Data Centre environments, for example for fit out, for refurbishment, for relocation or for upgrade purposes.

Equipment and Infrastructure includes Uninterrupted Power Supplies, cooling equipment, generators, gas & fire supression systems, PDUs, server & network racks, cabinets, blanking panels, building management equipment, monitoring equipment, modular and mobile data centre infrastructure as part of modular or prefab units. Data centre related design and consultancy services is included. This list is not exhaustive.

It was awarded on 13th January 2020 and runs to 12th January 2022 with a possible extension to 12th January 2024.

  6. The full cashable benefits have yet to be determined but initial benchmarking shows this framework is at minimum comparable to any alternative in terms of cash saving.

How can I use this Deal

The framework can be utilised via one of the three following options:

  • Direct Award - Ranked.Where the top ranked supplier has confirmed they have the capacity to undertake the work, can respond within requested timescales in specification of requirements, and are no issues meaning they are incapable of undertaking the work (e.g. there are no conflicts of interest). If any of the above cannot be ascertained, the second ranked supplier should be appointed. Apendix D details full supplier ranking.
  • Desktop Exercise. Can be used to amend criterion to reflect their requirements where time is of the essence and no amendments need to be made to call-off terms & conditions. The calculator can be found at Apendix D and will recalculate the total overall score based on members' amended weightings. Criteria can be amended up to 20%, additional criteria cannot be included, all original framework criteria must be used and they must add up to a total of 100%.
  • Further Competition. Must be used where additional requirements which are not set out in the framework agreement are being introduced to a call-off contract. All suppliers on the framework must be invited to bid for the opportunity unless they do not cover your region. Original framework criteria should be applied in the invitation to Tender, members may amend the evaluation criteria by 20% to reflect individual requirements.
