The first known OJEU tendered framework agreement for Staff Absence Insurance offers CPC members access to 5 distinct policy options from the UK’s market leading supplier: Schools Advisory Service (SAS). The framework enables CPC members to procure absence insurance policies through a simple and compliant process that will provide a solution to any staff absence insurance need.

SAS have more than 20 years’ experience working with Schools and Academies. All policy options they offer are supported with the highest rated underwriter (AA+) in the staff absence market to ensure the highest level of financial security for CPC Members. All policy options are also very flexible, and the cover offered by SAS can be tailored to individual requirements. CPC members can therefore choose their own benefit periods, excess period etc.

Absence Cover on policy options can give CPC members cover for absences caused by accidents, illness, compassionate leave, jury service, suspension, maternity, paternity, adoption, bereavement, stranded staff and even middle leaders acting up for Ofsted inspections. There are also options to cover pre-existing conditions or any ongoing absences your school may have.

As well as ensuring schools are financially supported when absences occur, SAS have developed policies that include whole school wellbeing to care for both staff and pupils. All physical and mental health support for staff is designed to help prevent and reduce absences, and all pupil wellbeing support is designed around the latest Ofsted assessment criteria, giving your school the best possible chance to succeed.

CPC and our insurance partner Risk2Value will work with SAS to create a suite of template documentation enabling CPC members to purchase Staff Absence Insurance as succinctly as possible. As ever CPC and Risk2Value will be able to offer advice and guidance to support you through the process.

The framework is split into two lots as detailed below.

It was awarded on 1st September 2016 and runs to 31st August 2020.
